Your Questions, Answered

  • Pelvic PT is a specialized branch of physical therapy that focuses on the muscles, nerves, and connective tissues of the pelvic girdle. This area plays an important role in bladder and bowel function, sexual health, core stability, and overall well being. However, at our clinic, we don't just look at the pelvis in isolation. We look at you as a whole person including how your breath, posture, and entire nervous system interact to support your pelvic health and overall movement.

  • Nope! You do not need a referral to begin your journey with us. We are happy to collaborate with your existing care team—including your OBGYN, urologist, or neurologist—to ensure your treatment is cohesive.

  • Traditional PT might focus only on a single joint or muscle group. We look at the "why" behind the "what." By treating the whole system, we create more lasting changes than just treating the symptoms alone.

  • We operate as an out-of-network provider. This model allows us to provide the high-quality, one-on-one "whole body" care our mission promises, without the time constraints often imposed by insurance companies. We are happy to provide a super bill if you plan to submit for out of network benefits.

  • Your first visit is primarily about connection and understanding your story. We start with a deep-dive conversation into your history, your goals, and your concerns. If you are comfortable, we may perform a physical assessment of your movement, breath, and pelvic floor. We move entirely at your pace- with your full consent and comfort as the priority.

  • Wear something you feel comfortable moving in! Loose-fitting clothing, yoga pants, or athletic wear are all great choices.

  • Yes. Pelvic health is human health. We treat the pelvic floor and its surrounding systems for people of all genders and sexes, including cisgender, transgender, and non-binary individuals.

  • Absolutely. Being on your period does not interfere with our ability to assess or treat you. In fact, if your symptoms are related to your menstrual cycle, it can be a very helpful time to see how your body is responding. However, if you feel more comfortable rescheduling, we completely understand.

  • Healing doesn't have to hurt. While we may work with sensitive or tender areas, our goal is to "calm" the system, not "challenge" it with pain. We use a gentle touch and constant communication to ensure you always feel safe and in control of the session.

  • Because we treat the "whole body" and focus on root causes, every plan is different. Most patients see significant changes within 4 to 6 sessions, but we will establish a specific roadmap for you during your initial evaluation.
